Os arranh\u00f5es profundos observados nas amostras sugerem que o contato entre o material est\u00e1tico e a saia do pist\u00e3o ocorre frequentemente ao longo do teste. A alta viscosidade \u00e0 temperatura ambiente pode estar impedindo que o \u00f3leo preencha completamente as lacunas nas interfaces e criando contato metal-metal. Em temperaturas mais altas, o \u00f3leo se torna mais fino e \u00e9 capaz de fluir entre o pino e o pist\u00e3o. Como resultado, observa-se um desgaste significativamente menor em temperaturas mais altas. A FIGURA 5 mostra que um lado da marca de desgaste se desgastou significativamente menos do que o outro lado. Isso provavelmente se deve \u00e0 localiza\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00edda de \u00f3leo.
