Il poss\u00e8de un rev\u00eatement polym\u00e8re biod\u00e9gradable et biocompatible qui lib\u00e8re un m\u00e9dicament de mani\u00e8re lente et continue au niveau de l'art\u00e8re locale afin d'inhiber l'\u00e9paississement intimal et d'emp\u00eacher l'art\u00e8re de se reboucher.<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\"><\/a> L'une des principales pr\u00e9occupations est la d\u00e9lamination du rev\u00eatement polym\u00e8re qui porte la couche d'\u00e9lution des m\u00e9dicaments du substrat m\u00e9tallique du stent. Afin d'am\u00e9liorer l'adh\u00e9sion de ce rev\u00eatement au substrat, le stent est con\u00e7u sous diff\u00e9rentes formes. Dans cette \u00e9tude, le rev\u00eatement polym\u00e8re se trouve au fond de la rainure du fil m\u00e9tallique, ce qui pose un \u00e9norme probl\u00e8me pour la mesure de l'adh\u00e9rence. Une technique fiable est n\u00e9cessaire pour mesurer quantitativement la force interfaciale entre le rev\u00eatement polym\u00e8re et le substrat m\u00e9tallique.
