Les courroies avec diff\u00e9rentes textures pr\u00e9sentent des comportements d'usure sensiblement diff\u00e9rents. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter qu'apr\u00e8s la p\u00e9riode de rodage au cours de laquelle le COF augmente progressivement, la courroie textur\u00e9e atteint un COF inf\u00e9rieur de ~0,5 dans les deux tests r\u00e9alis\u00e9s avec des charges de 10 N et 100 N. En comparaison, la courroie lisse test\u00e9e sous une charge de 10 N pr\u00e9sente un COF nettement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de ~1,4 lorsque le COF se stabilise et se maintient au-dessus de cette valeur pour le reste du test. La courroie lisse test\u00e9e sous une charge de 100 N a \u00e9t\u00e9 rapidement us\u00e9e par la bille d'acier 440 et a form\u00e9 une grande trace d'usure. Lors d'un essai d'usure de 220 tours, la courroie lisse pr\u00e9sente une trace d'usure beaucoup plus grande et plus profonde avec un volume de 75,7 mm3, contre un volume d'usure de 14,0 mm3 pour la courroie textur\u00e9e apr\u00e8s un essai d'usure de 600 tours. Le frottement nettement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de la courroie lisse contre la bille d'acier entra\u00eene un taux d'usure 15 fois sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui de la courroie textur\u00e9e.<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">Une telle diff\u00e9rence de COF entre la courroie textur\u00e9e et la courroie lisse est probablement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la taille de la zone de contact entre la courroie et la bille d'acier, ce qui entra\u00eene \u00e9galement des performances d'usure diff\u00e9rentes. La FIGURE 3 montre les traces d'usure des deux courroies au microscope optique. L'examen des traces d'usure est en accord avec l'observation de l'\u00e9volution du COF : La courroie textur\u00e9e, qui maintient un faible COF de ~0,5, ne pr\u00e9sente aucun signe d'usure apr\u00e8s le test d'usure sous une charge de 10 N. La courroie lisse pr\u00e9sente une petite trace d'usure \u00e0 10 N. Les tests d'usure effectu\u00e9s \u00e0 100 N cr\u00e9ent des traces d'usure beaucoup plus grandes sur les courroies textur\u00e9es et lisses, et le taux d'usure sera calcul\u00e9 \u00e0 l'aide de La texture de la surface joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans la r\u00e9sistance au frottement et \u00e0 l'usure des courroies pendant leur dur\u00e9e de vie. La courroie textur\u00e9e pr\u00e9sente un coefficient de frottement stable de ~0,5 et poss\u00e8de une longue dur\u00e9e de vie, ce qui permet de r\u00e9duire le temps et les co\u00fbts de r\u00e9paration ou de remplacement des outils. En comparaison, le frottement excessif de la courroie lisse contre la bille d'acier use rapidement la courroie. En outre, la charge exerc\u00e9e sur la courroie est un facteur essentiel de sa dur\u00e9e de vie.
