La variation de profondeur est enregistr\u00e9e avec pr\u00e9cision pendant le test \u00e0 l'aide d'un condensateur de pr\u00e9cision. Le taux d'usure est calcul\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de ces informations. Les taux d'usure pour le pion ou bille et le disque peuvent \u00e9galement \u00eatre calcul\u00e9s \u00e0 partir du volume de mat\u00e9riau mesur\u00e9 avec un AFM ou un profilom\u00e8tre optique attach\u00e9. Le mode lin\u00e9aire avec mesure du frottement est possible avec la table motoris\u00e9e x-y standard tandis que les tests rotatifs n\u00e9cessitent une table rotation optionnelle.
