Se pueden utilizar diferentes soluciones l\u00edquidas para simular el proceso de desgaste en aplicaciones reales. El desgaste y la fricci\u00f3n de los materiales en l\u00edquidos o lubricantes es fundamental para diversas aplicaciones industriales. Por ejemplo, los biomateriales para sustituciones biol\u00f3gicas, como articulaciones, stents y ra\u00edces dentales, requieren una excelente resistencia a largo plazo y una resistencia adecuada en un entorno l\u00edquido. Las piezas de los motores deben protegerse con una lubricaci\u00f3n adecuada para reducir el desgaste y la fricci\u00f3n y prolongar su vida \u00fatil. Durante la prueba de desgaste, la evoluci\u00f3n del coeficiente de fricci\u00f3n proporciona informaci\u00f3n sobre las diferentes etapas del desarrollo del desgaste. Combinando el control preciso de la velocidad y el cambio continuo de la misma, se puede medir una curva de Stribeck continua para el lubricante de prueba. Se dispone de una bobina de calentamiento de l\u00edquidos para calentar el l\u00edquido de las copas hasta 150 \u00b0C.
